City Vision College Enrollment Procedures

Before applying for enrollment, please review the standards for admission.

Step One

Complete the Enrollment Form

Online: Go to the digital version of the enrollment form.  The $25 application fee must be paid via credit card.

Hard Copy:  Download the City Vision College Catalog and mail or fax the form

Other Requirements

  1. To enroll in City Vision College you must prove that you are a high school graduate by presenting official transcripts from your colleges or high school or a GED certificate.   These must be mailed to the college directly from the institutions.  Faxes or photocopies will not be accepted.

Transcripts should be mailed to: Registrar, City Vision College, PO Box 413188, Kansas City MO 64141-3188

  2. If you are pursuing a degree or ceritificate, the completed application form and fees must be received before a transcript evaluation will be done to determine the number of transfer credit that will be granted for previous college work.

  3. All enrolling students must supply a current portrait-style photograph (can be uploaded online).

  4. Also, those enrolling in the certification or degree program must supply four references. Please use this reference form (PDF).

Once all of the application materials and payments have been received, a determination on enrollment status will be made. You will be notified of our decision by e-mail.

Step Two

Registering For Classes

After you have been accepted as a student, you will be able to use our online registration system to sign up for courses.

Access will be granted to a class once payment for the class has been received. A username and password is required to enter the City Vision College virtual classrooms.

Special Situations: Those receiving discounted tuition through scholarships or working at an AGRM member rescue mission must contact the City Vision College office to receive discount codes for use when registering for courses.

Step Three

Orientation

All new students must complete the New Student Orientation sessions before beginning work on their first course.

Important Considerations

  • Enrollment in City Vision College is open year round. The Academic Calendar consists of five ten-week terms. New students should begin the enrollment process at least one month before the beginning of the class in which they wish to participate.

  • To take City Vision College courses, you must have your own personal e-mail address that is used only by you.  Free web-based e-mail accounts can be obtained with Gmail, Yahoo or AOL.

  • Remember that City Vision College courses are accelerated semester classes that are 10 weeks in length. In other words, taking two courses simultaneously is that equivalent of full-time enrollment in a traditional college.  Plan to spend about 15 hours a week per course on your course work.

  • No more than 20 students may be enrolled in a course at any given time.
  • Newly enrolled students must begin course work within six months of acceptance. Those who exceed this time limit must reapply for enrollment and pay a new application fee.

Enrollment In Individual Courses

Students may enroll in any City Vision College course at any time by following the procedures outlined above and paying the applicable fees. Before a student enrolls, however, he or she should keep in mind that the courses are presented at a university level.
