Student Financial Charges

Charges to students for City Vision College courses are divided into three categories:

1.   The tuition, or academic, fee.  This is paid to City Vision College upon enrollment in a course, and covers the cost of instruction.

2.   The digital media fee, which covers the cost of the online study guide and weekly assignments that are designed for each course.  Access to the virtual classroom for a particular course is granted when a student registers for that course.

3.   The cost of textbooks, which varies depending on the course. We recommend that students attempt to purchase textbooks online - check the course descriptions to see recommended sources. Contact the college if certain books prove hard to find.

Students enrolling in City Vision College for the first time are required to pay a one-time application fee of $25.00.  This fee is paid only once and covers the initial cost of establishing and maintaining a student's file.

The application fee will be refunded if the student requests a cancellation of enrollment within five calendar days after midnight of the day on which the enrollment application is signed.

Program Fees and Tuition

The tuition cost is $150.00 per credit hour.  Therefore, the tuition cost of a three-credit course is $450.00.  Required textbooks and other instructional materials are not included in the tuition rate.

Both tuition costs and the digital media fee of $50 per course must be paid before students may participate in a course for which they register.  The only exception to this policy is a situation where an AGRM member rescue mission has agreed to pay for the student’s tuition. A 20% tuition discount is available to organizations that are members of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions when they pay directly for students' courses.

Policy on Dropped Courses

Enrollment cancellations, course withdrawals and refund requests must be made in writing.

Written notification is required In order to obtain a tuition refund from City Vision College.

These may either be in the form of a letter sent to the college address or they may be sent via e-mail to the registrar (registrar@cityvision.edu).

If a student chooses to withdraw from course, the following refund policy will apply:

    • Students who cancel their enrollment before the end of the first week of a course are entitled to a full refund of all money paid.

    • Once registered for a ten-week course the following shall apply if a student withdraws:

      Refundable tuition after:

      1st week of class 80%
      2nd week of class 60%
      3rd week of class 40%
      4th week of class 20%
      5th week of class 10%
      After the 6th week 0%

    • Students who withdraw from a particular course may apply the tuition they have paid to another course that may be taken at a later time. If the tuition rate has changed, a credit will be applied to the total cost of that course.

Student Financial Aid

City Vision College is approved by the US Dept of Education as a Title IV "Deferment Only" institution.  This means that students can defer their federal student loan payments while enrolled.  Also, tuition payments can be deducted on their federal tax returns.  At this time, the college is not eligible to participate in the other Federal Title IV programs such as Pell grants or guaranteed student loans. However, the process has started to fully participate in these programs as well.  More information will be provided as the things progress in this effort.

Veterans Educational Benefits

The degree program is approved for educational assistance benefits for qualified veterans and their dependents under programs administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). For application and enrollment procedures, call toll free at 1-888GIBILL1 or visit the VA educational web site.

AGRM Scholarships

The Association of Gospel Rescue Mission has a scholarship program that is available only to qualified students who are involved with their member missions.

Scholarships are awarded according to the following guidelines:

1. Students applying for scholarships must be pursuing a City Vision College bachelor degree or certificate.  No scholarships will be awarded to take single courses without formal matriculation.
2. AGRM scholarships will be for 1/2 of student tuition and materials - until the recipient completes his/her bachelor degree or certificate.
3. These scholarships are for individuals - not institutions (missions) - who have a demonstrated financial need.
4. Students without transfer credits from another institution of higher education must successfully complete one City Vision College course before they may apply for a scholarship.
5. Students may apply for scholarships at any time. However, the scholarship application must be submitted no less than two (2) weeks prior to the start of first City Vision College course for which they are requesting financial assistance.
6. The Scholarship Committee approves scholarship applications.
7. AGRM scholarships will be used to promote diversity, to assist program graduates, and to provide assistance to especially promising but needy students.
9. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis as long as funds are available.
